Welcome
Thank you for your interest in my campaign for Minnesota House District 15A. District 15A covers the cities of Waite Park, Rockville, St. Augusta, and the south and northwestern portions of St. Cloud.
This election year, we need to be focused like a laser on job creation. We need to get our economy moving again and create opportunity for all Minnesotans. I agree with the view that government's job is to protect and empower its citizens. In my view that includes building an economy in which everyone can succeed. I want to see Minnesota return to leading the way in public policies that benefit everyone, businesses and employees alike.
That means good jobs, excellent schools, affordable health care, a clean environment, renewable energy, fair taxation, and investment in the economic development strategies that really work: high-quality education from early childhood through college, a strong regional transportation system, and green energy alternatives.
I work for a small Minnesota entrepreneurial business, WFC Resources, Inc., that provides consulting and training on workplace flexibility strategies such as flexible scheduling and telecommuting. I've been a long-time community activist on workplace and economic development issues, ever since the days when I worked as a research analyst for the economic development think tank Good Jobs First.
Minnesota has the highest workforce participation rate of women of any state in the nation. As a working mom of three kids ages 13, 9, and 6, I want Minnesota to lead in every policy area that working families need, because our future workforce and our competitive advantage depend on it.
I've studied what works, in economic development and in family-flexiible workplaces. Now I want to put that experience to work for you in the Minnesota Legislature.
"You will find that Anne Nolan is not like other candidates who routinely dance around the issues without giving you real answers. She has concrete, innovative ideas and she works with real organizations that are already making strides to improve our future."
